Registration Details

The Chicopee Chargers are offering its annual early registration deal for the start of the 2018 season. Participants can take $40 off the registration price for football and cheerleading when they register online before April 13, 2018. You can register online by clicking the above link. The necessary registration paperwork can be found at the end of the online registration, or you can get them at the registration date. Forms must be signed and dated at registration. Packets CANNOT be emailed or mailed! Parents must complete their child's registration by bringing the necessary paperwork to the scheduled registration date below.

*Anyone who wishes to register their child for football after Aug 1st, can contact our registrar Gladys Cornier phone or email. There will be a late registration fee for those who register after Aug 1st.


FEES:

Football:

Early Registration - $85

Regular Registration - $125

There's a $3 registration fee charged by the Registration Company. There's also a 3.5% credit/debit fee which is applied at checkout. Any credit/debit fees are the responsibility of the purchaser. Forms of payment will be DEBIT/CREDIT or ECheck online, DEBIT/CREDIT or Cash at the registration location. Due to the increased number of bounced checks, we are NO LONGER accepting checks. Debit/Credit card payments have an additional 3.5% service fee. Note that the 3.5% service fee is also NON-REFUNDABLE.


Cheerleading:

Family Discount:

The CCYS family discount will only applies to siblings, and will take $25 off each additional player.


REQUIRMENTS:

Football

Players must be the age of 8 years old by September 1, 2018.

Players cannot turn 15 before November 15, 2018.

Players must be entering in the 2nd to 8th grade in September of this year.

All 2nd graders are required to sign a waiver form, which also must be approved by the Suburban Amateur Football League (SAFL).

Players not from the town of Chicopee are required to fill out a waiver form that must be approved by the SAFL.

Players must provide a valid copy of their Birth Certificate.

Parents need to provide a copy of their Government issued Driver License or State ID.

Players should be present at the time of registration to be measured for equipment.

*Note: Any player who played for the Chicopee Chargers in the 2017 season, will not require a birth certificate at registration because its already on file.


Cheerleading

Cheerleaders must be the age of 5 years old by August 1, 2018.

Cheerleaders must be entering in Kindergarten to 8th grade in September of this year.

Cheerleaders must provide a valid copy of their Birth Certificate.

Parents need to provide a copy of their Government issued Driver License or State ID.

Cheerleaders should be present at the time of registration to be measured for uniforms.

REGISTERING:

Registration is available online. It can also be completed at one of our registration dates for those who don't have access to a computer. The contact information of the President and Registrar is located on the Board of Directors page. They can be contacted by phone or email for any questions or concerns.


REFUND POLICY:

If the participant is unable to start before the first practice a registration refund minus the service fee ($25) will be issued. If the participant decides by Aug 2nd that he/she is no longer interested in participation in the program, a registration refund minus the service fee will be issued. In order to obtain the refund the Head Coach of the participant's team must be notified by the end of practice on Aug 2nd, and an email or text must be sent to both the President and Vice-President on or before Aug 2nd. No refund will be issued after August 2, 2018. The refund check will be mailed to the Parent/Guardian listed on the child's registration. Refund checks will be issued within thirty (30) days of notification. There will be a $25.00 service fee deducted from the refund for a service fee.

All issued equipment is subject to availability. Players and parents are responsible for all issued equipment and will be required to sign for the equipment upon receipt. Reckless damage or loss of equipment will result in equipment fees for replacement. Players are required to have all non-issued equipment by Monday, Aug 6th, by the start of practice. Failure to have equipment can result in conditioning punishment and exclusion from practice. All issued equipment should be returned at the end of the season.


Note: Mouthpieces must be colored and are required to have a strap to connect to the helmet so they can be seen by the referees on the field. Clear mouthpieces are not allowed. Cleats with the removable studs can be worn, but no metal studs are allowed. Studs also cannot exceed 1/2". Players also must wear a practice jersey for practice which is purchased thru the team for $15 during registration. Additional jerseys can be purchased for $30. If a player already has a Charger's personalized practice jersey, in good condition from the previous season, they are not required to purchase another jersey. Players will be fitted for practice jerseys at registration. Mouthpieces, belts, and game socks, will be handed out at the Player / Parent Orientation the last week in June.

Note: Warm ups are mandatory and available to be purchased thru the team. Cheerleader will be fitted for warm ups during registration. If the warms ups from last year are in good condition and fit from the previous season, they are not required to purchase a new one. The price of the warm up, $80 and will be paid during registration.
